Q - 19, A Virtual Run To Feed America

Q - 19 is a virtual race that inspires us “get moving and do good” in this time of uncertainty caused by COVID-19. As the U.S. gradually reopens after various levels of quarantining, the impact of COVID-19 continues to be profound, especially on our country’s food banks. Food banks everywhere are overwhelmed and struggling to feed a historic number of people in need. That’s why 50% of profits from this virtual run are being donated to Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization.

Run anytime, anywhere. Participants can choose which race they want to run (or walk!): a 19 minute race for distance, 10k, or half marathon. No matter the distance, you’ll receive all the swag you’d get running an in-person race, but you’ll have the freedom to do it on your own time, in your own space.

Go the Distance with Q - 19

A nod to our new normal as a result of COVID-19, the 19 minute virtual run is the, “come as you are,” for all fitness levels and abilities. How far can you run (or walk) in 19 minutes? If you’re looking to up the sweat and put added miles on your sneakers, register for the 10k or half-marathon distances.

Let’s connect and compete with family and friends scattered across the U.S. while supporting a tremendous cause. And don’t forget about your furry friends. If your pup isn’t tired from all the extra walks and belly rubs they’ve been getting during this time of “work from home,” grab the leash and bring them along.

So what are you waiting for? Get Moving. Do Good.

Our Story

A Family-Owned American Business

Hi! We’re EventSprout, a family-owned, live event ticketing business.

With social distancing becoming the standard for the foreseeable future, families, communities and small businesses across the country have been impacted. Even as life begins to move forward, and our country gradually reopens, the impact of COVID-19 will have lasting effects on millions of Americans. As a small business involved in the events industry who's felt the impact, we realize how many others have been affected as well. We also realize we need to help.

We wanted to find a way to use our platform to create a fun event to bring America together while also helping those profoundly impacted by COVID-19. And yes, find a way to bring in a little revenue to help keep our family business strong.

So, we created Q - 19, a Virtual Run to Feed America.

Join us and let’s have some fun as we support the tremendous efforts of Feeding America to help feed those adversely impacted by COVID-19.

FAQ

You asked we answered

A virtual run is a run (or walk!) you complete on your own - anytime, anywhere. You can run, walk, jog. Use a treadmill, your backyard or the sidewalks in your neighborhood. Complete the Q - 19 alone or with your family and friends. The choice is yours.

When submitting your results, you decide if they’re public or private, and everyone receives a finisher medal. Woo hoo!

Looking for added competition or extra motivation? See how you rank with fellow Q - 19 participants by checking the Results.

Of course! We encourage you to do what’s best for you. This virtual run is about raising money for a good cause and moving, whatever that might look like for you.

Nope! You can break up the race into multiple segments.

When submitting your results, please be sure to submit your total distance or time, rather than the segmented totals.

You can track your distance and/or time utilizing a GPS or smart watch.

No watch? No problem! There are several GPS running apps for smartphones that are capable of tracking your run. Check out MapMyRun, MapMyWalk, Runkeeper, Strava, and FitBit.

Shipping is included in the price of entry. Yay!

Medals will ship within 5-7 business days of your purchase. Please note that if you purchased a t-shirt, it will be shipped separately from your medal. You will receive an email with tracking information once it ships.

No. Shipping is only available within the U.S.

The medal is the same for all distances --- the 19 minute run, 10k or half-marathon.

Yes! There is an option at check-out to add an additional donation to Feeding America.

We do! If you are looking to add some competition and movement to your run club, company, neighborhood or family, a group discount is an excellent option. If you have a group of 10+, please email contact@q19run.com for more information.
